Some Great Tourney Airfares

This relates to players considering going from the States to Tokyo for the Japan Open or for players considering going from the States to tournaments easily accessed by going through Istanbul. Also, relates to players coming to San Antonio from Japan, Turkey, and nearby locales.

There are two new daily roundtrip routes between Houston-Istanbul (Turkish Airways/United) and Houston-Beijing (China Air/United). I am seeing some phenomenal fares which are, I assume, introductory in a sense with these new routes. I checked going to Tokyo on the Japan Open dates -- Houston to Tokyo thru Beijing for $1,100. I checked Houston-Istanbul roundtrip on the Texas Backgammon Championship dates and found a fare of $667. Fairly amazing in my estimation.
