The details of the play are irrelevant, its more a question of: "does endgame position with 1-3 backgame have more value than this positions endgame (assuming that it plays out like we know it will)".

So whether its making the 4pt, or slapping checkers on the roof, and blotting everywhere, or whatever, it doesnt matter.
