I do not care for 2-ply rollouts of any kind.

In the XG Opening Book, Xavier often uses "Moves: 2-ply, cube decisions: 3-ply Red," rolling 10k trials. I have seen many of these rollouts overturned by 3-ply (or better) rollouts.

I agree with Ah_Clem that the best place to start is with the XG default: "Moves 3-ply, cube decisions XG Roller, 1296 games with Variance Reduction."

Like Ah_Clem, I use XGR++ when I don't have time for a rollout.
