A great game table

In Response To: A great game table (Frank Berger)

Am I the only one confused about the game board for 'chess or checkers' having not only two extra rows and columns (10 instead of 8) but also an illegally moved White knight? Also, quite the bg position. Can't even figure out what direction we're going.
