Play on 2nd generation iPod touch ( iOS 4.2.1)?

My iPod is an old model and won't handle new apps. The ONLY backgammon app in the iTunes store that it will accept at all is the free version of Optime Backgammon, which is little more than a toy. I can't download Gnu on this thing, and I don't think I can use FIBS. I would appreciate any information, any suggestions or ideas at all, about how I might be able to play (against bots or people or ANYTHING). Obviously, I need a new iPod or tablet, but I can't afford one yet. Thanks a lot!
