Jacoby Rule for Match Play?

I believe the Jacoby rule should merely be considered as an optional additional rule and generally appropriate to chouettes, where the majority of players wish it to apply, much like optional automatic doubles or playing racoons, skunks, etc.

I think the fact that so many money (unlimited games) rollouts have hitherto had Jacoby on (the default setting) is keeping Jacoby going beyond its natural sell by date.

I would like to see Jacoby to become the exception rather than the rule. This would be the end of an era (or more accurately the end of an error).
