Could Serena Williams beat John McEnroe today?

Would be, perhaps, a comparable situation to the Riggs vs. BJK match. McEnroe is 54 -- at least looks to still be in fairly good shape. IMO women's tennis has probably generally improved more than men's tennis in the last 40 years -- not that male players, their training, their equipment haven't improved; just that the women's game has improved more (it had much further to go). Williams is much more a physically dominant player today than BJK ever was.

My initial reaction would be the advantage goes to McEnroe.
