There's absolutely no merit to leaving a second blot. 8/4*, 7/6 is the play here
Putting white on the roof and picking up the other blot forestalls a cube (probably close though). If white dances he is facing the prospect of trying to enter on what will likely be a 4 point board. That alone is enough to hold off on the cube.
If white is allowed the freedom to roll and not have to enter you are facing an immediate cube. Without the likely threat of a 4 point board you are facing a cube also, even if white is on the roof (as would be the case with the pick and pass - 8/4*, 4/3).
White's board is too dangerous to not hit and your position is too bad to not leave the 4 point slotted.
