im opposed to my opponents wearing headphones, not because i think they are getting any information, but mainly (and maybe i'm showing my age) because its rude. if i wanted to play a silent humorless opponent, i could have saved the entry fee, hotel and transportation costs and just played the bot. even though there is prize money involved and all that, tourneys are still a social event, so be social and take the damn things off.
