What and Why?

I encountered this position in a practice match, and was surprised when I was dinged. The quiz factor gives the answer for the 5a-2a score, but I will leave you with the following challenges:

1. What is the play in money game, no Jacoby, with a centered cube?

2. What is the play in money game with owning the cube?

3. (Most interesting) What is your logic?

I think the logic can be better found by backward solving, so I will post the rollouts later today.
