It feels wrong to take down the mid point and lose a lot of outfield control when we still have four checkers back. If we keep the 13 point, it means that the 18 point will have to go, in one way or the other. Also 16/6 looks very right, transforming a blot into a builder where we really want to have spares. After 18/13, I slightly prefer to leave a blot on the 18 instead of the 8, so

18/8 16/6
