Boardtation

Here is my recording suggestion.
You make a sheet with a series of blank board diagrams. 4 columns of 8 probably could work. Could alternate the shading or color to help keep clear whose turn it was. To record a move you just place the die roll on the point the checker moved from. The first diagram of a game you also need to note who won the opening roll.
As examples: If a player plays 13/10 13/9 you write 43 on his 13 point. Compared to 13/10 13/9 this uses 2 symbols instead of 9 and compared to Nactatation uses 2 instead of 3. That point is from the perspective of the recorder and may by on teh recorder's side or the opposite side.
If a player plays 13/6 with the 43 you write 4 on the 13 point and 3 on 10 point. If there is an optional hit one may need to choose to instead use 3 on the 13 and 4 on the 10.
If a player is on the bar with 2 checkers and can only enter with the five with a 52 just write 5 on the bar. (Or if really want to keep the information write the 2 in a place indicating an unused number)
For no moves can just write N (or could write the dice roll in the unused number location).
Big advantage is that if the roll is not doubles you need only to write 2 symbols and maybe just 1.
