Rollout + OtB + Follow Up Question

In Response To: Gammon Save Checker Play (Stick)

This came up in a match of mine on GG. I made what has now been deemed as the clearly correct play thanks to this rollout. The question is what play did I make and why is it so correct? Any idea roughly how much it's probably right by?

As a side note, for those of you who didn't seem to consider this safe play. Naughty! I did consider the hit but only for a second before dismissing it. A non mix it up kind of play needs to definitely be on your radar at GS.

"Follow Up Question" - with my affinity for acronyms I may start using 'FUQ' from now on. Has a nice ring to it.
