Coming under the Gun

I like stepping up here, in spite of the POH threat. The race is close, and Blue needs to try to escape. Staying back in hopes that White will throw an awkward number is not the right idea. More often than he leaves a shot, White will improve his prime, or simply bring down more builders.

Making the 5pt is clear, and for the final 3, I prefer playing down from the midpoint.
