My play is a quick decision: 8/4.

But the alternative is 8/7 5/4 3/2(2), with the 8/7 "saving a six" — or saving something — but weakening our board. Saving for what, then? Running through the dice for our next turn, looks like the only numbers that make the alternative look better might be 5-1, 4-2 and 4-1. With perhaps most other numbers we run from one of our anchors, and are glad to have the better board to back us up a little.
