Moving to the 6pt is probably better than creating a stacked and fragile structure by covering the 2pt. After being hit, it would be embarrassing if we rolled some sort of semi-forced number that left a blot. If we are missed, getting home should also be easier with a spare on the 6pt.

16/10* moves a checker into the Outer board, and...
10/6 moves a checker out of the Outer board.

That is the definition of O (Outer).

O (Outer) = 16/10*/6
