If you change your account to view in basic mode it will use the old Yahoo mail classic mode (which apparently is what use to work for you). It should appear pretty much the same in all the browsers (Explore, Firefox etc).

Last week Yahoo changed the look and feel of yahoo mail affecting Firefox users. Switching to basic mode allows you to view mails the old way that is compatible with Firefox and likely Explorer.
