"World Champion" vs World Champion

I agree. And I said Champion is the winner of a certain competition. Remember this is a game after all. Even real war winners are not crowned forever.
The difference is MC is held for many years. Only single tournaments as the Nordic open or Abraham Eitan's WC Challenge tournaments or the Million Dollar tournament could collect comparable multitude of nations represented. If there is a competing venue then it could challenge the WC. But not your Super, held once with one participant.
Another aspect - think of the region of the largest concentration of best 200 players - is it USA or Europe or Asia? Where can and will most best players come to play? I would bet Europe. Where else could the new WC be shifted? London? Maybe, better Copenhagen. But not Tokyo or LV. Not yet. Only if we start WC online. Then the location of best players would be immaterial. And still the Danes deserve to have the Capital of BG - at least for the last decade.
Another issue is the need of a world body to unite national feds to further this bautiful game and crown "legitimate" world champions. This need is real and national feds should unite - where they exist, and be created. Without its own bodies, our game can hardly compete with the better organized sports.
