After 8/2 6/1 white leaves a direct shot after 11 12 13 15 16 22 25 26 35 36 44 45. That's a lot of shots, and I didn't even mention the indirects. clearing the midpoint must be a whopper although I can see myself playing it otb if I'm not really paying attention.

Now, maybe leaving a single blot on the midpoint is the right idea to keep the strong board, but I'm not seeing it.

I'd say it's a take after 8/2 6/1 and probably a pass after anything else. After 8/2 6/1 there are an awful lot of direct-shot-leaving rolls (21 if I counted right) but blue still has to hit it and then there's the open 6 point and blot on the ace giving counterplay. I'll say it's a cube without much conviction.
