XG on iPhone 5s unresponsive to taps

It could be fat fingers, dry skin, poor circulation (diabetes etc).

If other apps seem to work okay, then it is conceivable that XG may not be as usable on a smartphone as it is on a larger touch pad device. I don't personally use an iPhone so can't really say. Your best bet is to contact Xavier at support@extremegammon.com , he is usually pretty good in responding to technical issues and bugs.
