OT: applied math problem

I realize this is simple problem for the math-types here, but my wife an I were arguing about it (over more than few glasses of wine) last even, so I thought I'd come here for a definite answer:

Which is a better deal?

(a) Purchase a $65 gift card for $50.

or

(b) Purchase a $100 gift card for $75.

And what is the easiest way to figure it out.
