You've got to leave a blot somewhere.

10/3 makes a useful homeboard point but leaves 14 shots.

8/4 8/5 leaves at least 20, so that's out.

6/2 5/2 makes a point and only leaves 11 shots, but boy is it ugly. Same for 6/3 6/2.

8/4 6/3 makes a point, sends a checker back and leaves 13 points. Plus it leaves a second blot - I wouldn't be too worried about the 44 joker, but 43 42 & 41 give black the opportunity to send a 7th checker back. that and the two extra shots make me think it's not worth it.

I'll go with the ugly shot minimizing plays. Which one? Playing two off the six looks more flexible, but I'm not at all sure.
