If Dana plays not a single additional tournament in the next 4 years he'll still be top 5 because he won Vegas recently.

No. First, one should have played in at least x tournaments over the past 5 years to qualify for ranking. (I'd say x>=5.) According to that criterion alone his ranking is only "provisional" and cannot be compared to other players. Second, with diminishing weights, that result will start shrinking down every year.

As I already mentioned, I think a fusion of Elo (simply matches won) and ABT (only pressure matches won) could be a reasonable system to implement.
