Bridge has been wildly successful in promoting bridge in the US.

WILDLY!

People travel to tournaments to rack up points.

Bridge gives out points for local, regional, and national level events - proportionately.

How about driving people to attend local weekly and monthly tournaments? Antoinette gets minimal attendance for he monthly NYC tournaments yet she soldiers on. I guarantee attendance would skyrocket within 6 months if people knew they were getting master points, even if only a few. I know I'd show up at least some of the time.

I'd probably have our meetup hold tournaments once every 1-3 months. And I bet I could get 15-30 people showing up for it, maybe more.

Why not reward the people who have been persevering and toiling away? Why diverge from Bridge's model that has met with so so much success??
