My first impression was to make the 5pt board, but on reflection, I talked myself out of it. Still leading in the race, I think our priority must be to escape. I like bar/23.

Having made that decision, I was not sure whether to hold two outside points, or to stack up on the 9pt in order make safe play easier on the next turn. In the end, I decided that it was better to try and hold the opponent's checkers on the bar point.

I will not be surprised to learn I am wrong.

B (Both) = bar/23, 9/8(2)
