How's that?

Say in a given match, each player is allowed one 5 minute break, according to the current rules.

With these "clocked break" rules, the FIRST player to take a break, would have his clock running during the break. As I understand, his opponent enjoys the break too?

Now, the SECOND player does not take his break, because he feels he's had enough of a pause for that match. Thus he gets 5 minutes extra. But how do you see the first player being reimbursed his 5 minutes here?

I assume that only one clock will be running during breaks?
