I never said anything about abandoning everything. BG work and interest in BG is great. If you win an event or events, I guess you should get some props. Tournament results are nice.

However, you are often posting this database in response to what voting criteria for the Giants list should be. And, your first listed objective is: " 1. Provide a world ranking system that's better than the current Giants Voting. "

I am saying that in fact, it does not provide a ranking system that is better than the Giants voting, and the Giants voting is more accurate.

Ratings, ABT points, win %, masters points, or any statistical combination and formulation thereof are all great things. But they don't tell you who the best players are. Not that I think the Giants list is perfect either, but it actually isn't all that bad.
