No Comparable Alternatives

Since I don't like leaving a shot on the 3pt at a time when we are out-boarded 4 to 2, I looked around for a strong non-hitting option.
  • Running three checkers out to the 17pt decreases our chances of hitting later and risks losing more gammons.
  • Covering our blot on the 3pt does not leave a nice way to play the other 3 dice.
This is a fine throw, and making the 5pt on White's head is a strong play. No alternative comes close.
