Thank you, Ray, for the nice comments.

The USBGF is trying hard. We have a number of volunteers who do great, thankless jobs in many areas with little or no recognition.

We have some great assets available to members -- an incredible magazine, the rating system, Phil's video lessons, a coming master points system, a backgammon community for our members, and much more.

With increasing membership and additional volunteers we hope to do even more. We wish to make the organization more of and for the members -- more inclusive, more participatory, more democratic. The ideas, suggestions, critiques, and efforts of all are welcome. We're not perfect but we are open-minded and we learn from any mistakes.

We only want to expand and grow the game through greater exposure and visibility while providing valuable resources to our members. As our mission statement says: "The U. S. Backgammon Federation is a not-for-profit organizaton committed to advancing the awareness, participation, education, and enjoyment of the skill-based game of backgammon."

The recognition, support, and contributions of notable players such as yourself makes our efforts easier, more worthwhile, and more fulfilling -- for all our member volunteers; for all our members, current and potential; and for all backgammon players, now and in the future.

Welcome back, Ray !!
