If we come in with the deuce bar/23 the only reasonable ace is making the 20pt anchor. This leaves us all anchored up but awfully inflexible esp. with the opponent in the air v. a four point board meaning nearly half the time he won't even enter next turn. To me bar/24 is forced.

After that I guess we have a choice between the 21pt anchor and the 18pt anchor. We don't exactly need an inner board anchor at this point. We aren't under threat of attack. We also don't want to semi block ourselves behind the opponent's mini block of the nine point.

bar/24 20/18 is a stand out play for me.
