International Backgammon Register

In Response To: Ken’s rating proposal - 635 people are now displayed (Ken Larsen)

IMO, there needs to be an International Backgammon Register (non-profit) through which all world-wide backgammon tournaments are sanctioned. A small permit fee could be charged for running a tournament with the proceeds of all sanctioned tournaments going towards match recording equipment etc. I don't understand the magnitude of the logistics but personally I like this idea.
