There have been many posts on how to improve at backgammon. There is one excellent way to learn which has not been mentioned. Phil has helped to develop this. It is called the Mind Game Center Lessons. When you go into the site, you will see many topics for beginners, intermediate, and advanced. It is done in quiz format with flash cards to test you after you read about the topic(s) The topics are written by many of the top players of the country and costs vary from $3.99 -$7.99. There are not any that are more than the latter price. They can be used at an unlimited basis so that you can go back and test yourself on each topic. There is no registration fee. All you need to do is register with your user name or email address. Phil, Bill Robertie, Mary Hickey, Matt-Cohn Geier and many others have great topics there including Anchor Games, Blitzing,Play safe or take chances,Take pts calculating drill, and reference positions. Give it a try and I know it will help.
