My first thought is that blue needs to spring his backmen and putting a second checker on the roof means white's 5 prime will be there for a while. But with two checkers on white's midpoint, white will have the timing to hold the prime even if she's not dancing.

Making the full prime with 8/2 8/7 is intriguing, but since blue won't be able to hold it for long unless he shakes a 62 I don't think that's the right idea.

7/1* addresses blue's timing problem, but I don't think I really want a third or fourth checker back.

I'm inclined towards doing as much as possible to spring a backman and splitting doubles the number of escaping rolls while giving blue an additional 10 rolls to move a runner to where it sees daylight. I like that.

For the 6 I'll play 8/2 and hope for an ace or deuce followed (or accompanied by) a 6.
