I don't have anything against shorter format. Only problem I see is event name. I originally proposee city name should be used. But this is a poor choice. For example, NY Metro is held in Jersey City. So, I used "New Tork Metripolitan" - just like it appears on ABT webpage. You want it shorter--which makes sense--but perhaps it will cause difficulties to those who will search for matches later. Something like:

Lets search for mcg v petko - new york 2014 - didnt work

Lets search for mcg v petko - ny 2014 - didnt work

Lets search for mcg v petko - new york metropolitan 2014 - didnt work

Lets.....

Try mcg v petko - ny metro 2014 - ah, here it is.
