In the four positions below, the smallest margin between the two best plays is 0.035. I had a perfect 0-5 record; I screwed up the cube decision and all four of the checker plays. Get just one of these right and it means that you know more than I do about back games. By the way, I enjoyed a very perverse sense of satisfaction when I found out that I had won a gammon after screwing up five (or more) positions along the way.
