2014 Texas Backgammon Championships -- San Antonio

Who do you want to see ?

Once again we will be streaming matches almost continuously for four playing days beginning about noon CST Thursday, January 30. These will be on the USBGF channels. Links bill be posted on various media sites. We also plan to have periodic television style updates (maybe live, maybe pre-recorded; times to be announced) during the tournament. We generally know the players people want to watch play and would like to see interviewed, but we're also asking for input from backgammon players and fans. Some of the Giants and notables perhaps are not that well known by many and people would like to see them play or meet them via interview.

So, let us know. Giants (top 64) from Jan. 2012 vote attending include Mochy, Kazaross, Michi, MCG, Woolsey, Wachtel, Sax, Fogerlund, O'Laughlin, Petko, Malcolm Davis, Joe Russell, Munitz, Hickey, Koca, Carol Joy Cole, Nuniyants, Mamlet, Ashkenazi, Svobodny, Nunez, and Simborg. Other notables attending (in no particular order) include (and I apologize to some I may leave out) Akiko, Phipps, Culpepper, Bejanishvili, David Rockwell, Grunwald, Mattig, Covlin, Gibson, Gillis, Gartner, Pascar, Finneran, Kettler, Cattanach, Edge, Rachel Rhodes, Raposa, Bauer, Merriman, Mayfield, Klein, and many more.

So, let us know who you'd like to see play and who you'd like to see interviewed. We'll try to accommodate as we can.
