1)ahead in the race and out-boarded safe play should be favored over bold play. Is buttoning up with 16/13 10/6 too chicken? The stack on the six is certainly ugly. Alternatives?

Pottling with 22/15 seems loose, just asking to be hit.

13/10 22/18 looks reasonable.

10/7* 13/9 is appropriately aggressive, but four blots is a bit much, and as I said above safe plays should be favored.

10/7* 22/18 leaves one fewer blot, knocks white off balance, prepares to escape teh runner and dupes sixes. it's not the safe play, but buttoning up just seems so passive. I'll try that.

22/18 10/7*

2)I can't run the backman and hitting loose seems like the wrong idea. I can't really clean up, so it seems the choice is to simply make the 3 point or minimize shots with 11/8 7/2. the six point is crying out to be unstacked, so I'll go for that.

8/3 6/3.
