The way I would think about this is: Can I cash after I make the 4pt, and opp fans? Can I cash after I hit and make the 8pt, and opp fans one checker?

I think its close, but since the chances of at least one checkering entering are 27/36, and 9 of those are two checkers entering, then I will go with making the 4pt, and seeing how it goes from there. Its entirely possible that my opp may take after I make the 4pt. Whereas he almost certainly will take on the hitting play if he enters one checker.
