Making the anchor will certainly increase the win pct and lower the gammon loss pct, but making the anchor is not a given if blue is hit after hitting on the bar point.

My first inclination is to focus on trying to make as many crossovers as possible before being closed out to minimize gammon losses. But white will hit loose if she can so it's unlikely that I'll be able to make enough crossovers to matter. So what the heck - 13/7*/5 - maybe she'll hit back and can anchor, maybe she'll dance and I can bear some more checkers in, maybe I can even contain her until the prime cracks.

And maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt.
