There are no NMS in a five point match - zero - none. There are few in a nine point match. You will find differences in practice at most scores. Personally, I find the NMS concept close to useless. One of the fascinations of match play is that you have a different game at every score.

Furthermore, we are frequently finding in our opening research significant differences between GG and 4a2a and similarly with GS. We are also frequently finding moderate differences in scores such as DMP and 3aC. If there are differences in the opening, there are differences later in the game as well.
