Is GG still the speed king of on-line BG?

Never tried SHG. I have played, FIBS (until GG in 1996), TMG, BGRoom, even tried yahoo for one game.

Have been on GG since Spring of 1996. The main advantage GG had over FIBS at the time was speed. I was on-line when Ken Arnold gave a tour to "Marvin" (the FIBS developer) and part of the banter was how much faster GG was. "Marvin" contended that it was only because GG was not hosted in the north Swedish woods.

Amazing that 14 years later with hardly any change of significance in the interface and perhaps the server as well. "(GG is so fast that I sometimes play too fast there.)"
