9/4 8/4

White is already at the edge of a potential broken four prime so I see no great necessity in making the four point. In addition, the blot on 20 would be exposed and vulnerable to a dovetail attack.

24/20 11/6

Dearly, White could do with a spare on her 8 & mid point for her future priming potential to have an effect. As it is, blue is unlikely to get hemmed in and thus, no urgency for blue to establish the 20pt anchor. Not only that, but which ever way you play the 5, your leaving a blot in a dangerous location.

20/15 13/9

The 9pt is a very strong asset against the 3pt anchor. White is likely to be squeezed of 6's and in turn isolated to the point of desperation. Blue has the better timing and positional structure to wait patiently.
