So many themes at play here. Counter priming; backgame; consolidation. I suspect that the winning game plan on a 3ply will be different from the game plan on a rollout.

So, for my random aces, I will select: bar/24,23/22(2),9/8. I think the best approach here is to prepare for the backgame, with an opportunity to escape to a prime vs prime. If I thought I could get away with it, I would just make the bar point, and be happy about it, but I think that position crashes too often.
