Sean got it all pretty correct.

Also, the people were almost universally very friendly.

EVERYONE used clocks (some for the first time - IN OTHER WORDS there should be no issue making advanced and beginner players use clocks).

AND legal moves was the unspoken rule. In all the matches in all the events I had not one issue about it - it was an expectation. Apparently it is so engrained that not doing so wouldn't even be considered.

And a word about level of play.... 256 players... All in one level. No open, intermediate, beginner. Level ranges from extremely weak play to fairly strong (maybe 4 - 5). And no one cared.

It was run amazingly well. Quite impressive.
