seems like we get hit with 1s on the 18 - which costs tempo, if nothing else - if hit, anchoring with 3 checkers is a bit easier than 2. the white blot makes the slot a bit safer. we're not gonna like 63, or 65 in any case, but 64 is more tolerable after the slot. trying to develop a checker from the 13 will be much more dangerous once white's checkers are split, so go for it now.
