She didn't roll it out. She chose her words badly. At my suggestion she set it up on a live board to better study the position since bots are expressly forbidden. It's a chance to better visualize the position and shuffle checkers around as one would at a live tournament.

I have to agree that what she did was fine. Setting up a physical board and just seeing how the different plays look seems perfectly reasonable to me.
