Non-biased Legal vs. non-legal moves poll

In Response To: Non-biased Legal vs. non-legal moves poll (Matt Cohn-Geier)

My understanding, and someone please correct me if there are different terms for it, is that Mandatory means all matches must be played that way even if both players would rather not. Preferred is that when the players disagree, the default is what is designated as Preferred.
