Istanbul tournament - FT system

Tournament directors sacrifice a lot of time and effort to run an event. I have run two live tournaments which I played in as I had volunteers to record matches and handle simple problems and enquiries. Every Tournament I have played in has had the director playing.

When I ran the internet one (which was over several weeks) one player who I thought was a friend was so angry with me (not the other two who voted the same as me) that that player no longer talks to me.

So I always thank the TD for the effort that they put in. You do not have to agree with every decision but be nice to them if you want them to continue to organise tournaments. Thanking them costs nothing but goes a long way.
