Minack has passed away

Minack (Tsuyoshi Minakami) has passed away.

He fainted at work in early December 2013, and couldn't return. I don't know his reason of the death yet, but it is probably a heart attack.

He is not only the one of the best backgammon players in Japan, but also a theorist who started to use computer in backgammon from very early stage.

He won numerous tournaments all over the world, but especially liked Chicago Open in May where he became finalist in Giants Invitational last year.

Personally I always shared the room with him in Monte Carlo and Chicago. He always cares and thankful to others. He even brought a small gift to maids who does bed making in the hotel.We miss him.
