You didn't mention the stroke. Since you are mentioning it now, that implies you would not afford that break to a healthy person who misplayed due to clock pressure.

But in this case, maybe there's no place for the clock. After all, would you accept the defeat of a stroke victim at the hands of a merciless clock?
